Marrakech is one of Europe's favourite destinations for group trips: hen and stag weekends, destination weddings, yoga retreats, golf breaks, milestone birthdays and three-generation family holidays. They all share the same first challenge. Twelve people, twelve suitcases, two golf bags and a guitar case land at Menara — and somebody has to get them all to the right place at the same time. A convoy of taxis rarely manages it. A group transfer from Marrakech airport does.
Here is how to organise one without stress.
Which vehicle for how many people?
Our group vehicles fall into two sizes:

Seats are only half the question. A van with seven adults and seven large suitcases is full to the roof; add golf bags, surfboards or pushchairs and it will not fit. As a rule of thumb, if every seat is taken and everyone has a big case, book one size up — or two vehicles. It usually costs only a few euros more and saves a painful game of luggage Tetris at the kerb.
A group transfer from Marrakech airport, step by step
- Name one lead contact. One person with a phone that works in Morocco, who we can reach on WhatsApp on the day.
- Send the passenger list and every flight number. We follow each flight, so delays are absorbed rather than discovered.
- Count the luggage, including the awkward items. Golf bags, musical instruments, wedding dresses, bikes, boards.
- Tell us the address — and how the group will reach the door. Hotel with a driveway, riad in the medina, or villa outside the city.
On arrival, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign showing the group or lead passenger's name, helps load the luggage and takes everyone to the same place at the same time.
Golf bags, bikes and other bulky equipment
Marrakech is one of Morocco's great golf destinations, and golf groups travel heavy: a set of clubs in a hard case takes the space of two suitcases. The same goes for bikes, surfboards, photography kit and musical instruments. For a group transfer from Marrakech airport with sports equipment, list every bulky item when you book. We will either choose a larger vehicle or send a second one for the luggage, so that your group does not travel with a golf bag across its knees.
When your group arrives on different flights
This is the classic group headache. Friends book their own tickets from London, Paris and Brussels, and suddenly there are four arrival times spread over the afternoon. There are three sensible options:
- One vehicle per flight — the simplest; nobody waits and the per-vehicle price keeps it affordable.
- Group two flights together if they land close to each other; the first arrivals wait a little in the terminal café.
- Meet at the hotel — each sub-group comes in separately and the party starts at the pool.

Weddings, retreats and events
For events, the airport run is only the beginning. Guests often need shuttles between hotels and a venue outside the city, and back again late at night. Tell us the dates, the number of guests and the addresses, and we will quote the whole programme with fixed prices per vehicle — no surprises on the invoice after the party.
Riads, hotels and the medina with a group
A minibus cannot enter the medina any more than a sedan can. If your group has rented a large riad, the vehicle stops at the nearest accessible gate and porters with hand carts take the luggage in; ask the riad to organise them in advance so that fifteen suitcases do not arrive in a heap. Hotels and villas in Hivernage, the Palmeraie or the countryside have direct access, which makes big arrivals much simpler.
Beyond the airport: group trips across Morocco
Per-vehicle pricing really shines on longer journeys. At the time of writing, a minibus for up to seventeen costs €150 for Marrakech to Essaouira, €160 for Marrakech to Agadir and €220 over the Atlas to Ouarzazate — often less than €10 per person for a door-to-door day on the road.
